Denomination Master
The master defines the cash denominations available in the system.
Notes: ₹500, ₹200, ₹100, ₹50, ₹20, ₹10
Coins: ₹20, ₹10, ₹5, ₹2, ₹1
Each denomination can be activated or deactivated as required.
Cash Denomination Entry
During cash transactions, the system records the quantity of each denomination received or paid.
For example:
| Denomination | Received | Paid |
|---|---|---|
| ₹500 Note | 10 | 2 |
| ₹200 Note | 5 | 0 |
| ₹10 Coin | 20 | 5 |
This allows the system to maintain the actual physical cash composition instead of tracking only the total cash balance.
Cash Exchange
Cash Exchange is used when one denomination is exchanged for another.
Example: A customer gives 5 × ₹100 notes and receives 1 × ₹500 note.
For a normal cash exchange, the total Received and Given amounts must be equal.
If a Set No. is entered, the denomination entry can be associated with that transaction and the received and paid amounts are not required to be equal.
Cash Denomination Report
The report provides denomination-wise cash movement for a selected date or period:
Opening Quantity + Received Quantity − Paid Quantity = Closing Quantity
It displays separate sections for Notes and Coins, along with the quantity and closing amount of each denomination.
The final Cash in Hand represents the total physical cash available at the branch according to the recorded denominations.
